An early start to the season began in May with high temperatures and relatively arid conditions. For the summer months, the rain rolled in on a regular basis, expanding the volume of fruit on the vines and prompting growers to thin out their bunches. By September things were looking underripe given the soggy summer, but an incredibly dry and warm September and October allowed the grapes additional time to ripen late into the season. The resulting fruit was very good quality, with great flavour ripeness and moderate sugar levels to bring 2023 harvest to a happy close.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003eTASTING NOTES\u003cbr\u003eOn the nose, this piquette presents a slightly cherry aroma, mingling with the floral essence of rose petals. The playful scent of jolly ranchers adds a touch of nostalgic sweetness. On the palate, the iconic tart acidity reminiscent of Welch's grape juice stands out.
